As part of our continued enhancement of all systems here at Gigabit Minnesota, all billing accounts are being converted from the various
historical coding plans to our standard pricing of 2015. The majority of accounts change little or not
at all. A few accounts have rather major changes.
In advance of the billing standardization project our technology projects have resulted in the entire customer base being upgraded to a minimum
internet speed of 40/20mbps effective March 1 2016 and a plan to move all of our Rosemount footprint to a minimum of 70/20mbps by
2018. As of March 1 about 20% of our customers have already been upgraded to 70/20mbps or 100/30mbps and a prority list for continued
upgrades is in place.
TV is the largest area of constant change and is completely out of our control. The new pricing includes the 2015 content cost increase of about $20 but we have managed
to avoid adding the 2016 content cost increase of another $10 to customer bills at this time.
We are finding all our competitors (satellite, cable, etc.) have all been announcing major price increases due to the same pressures.
Your monthly statement in March 2016 will probably reflect the new pricing. If there is any increase in cost you will see a onetime "Final Discount" to adjust to the
rate you have been paying and the new billing will take effect in April 2016. Accounts with any major changes are being reviewed and
handled personally by me, Jim Hickle President of Gigabit Minnesota and Velocity Telephone.
We are the fastest internet at the lowest cost with the best local service in Rosemount and expect to remain in that position,
If you have any questions I would be glad to speak with you and personally help you find a product or solution that meets your specific needs.
Thank you for supporting a local company!
